Applying for a Summer Job at Y.O.U.

How do I apply for the Y.O.U. Summer Youth Employment Program?

  • All registrations will be completed ONLINE during the official registration period (February 1st - May 1st).

  • To apply, you will need a mobile phone that can connect to internet, a tablet, or a desktop/laptop computer.

  • When the registration period opens, you will be able to start your application by visiting the Y.O.U. Summer Youth Employment Program webpage.

Once I complete the application, what happens next?

  • When the application is completed successfully, you will be sent a confirmation email (from noresponse@youthopportunities.org) informing you that you have applied for the Y.O.U. Summer Jobs Program. The confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide on your application as well as to your parent/guardian email address.

  • If you don’t see a confirmation email please check your spam or junk mail folder.

  • All applications are considered as part of our lottery selection process.

    • Notifications of lottery selection occur in early April through mid-May.

    • Submitting more than one application does not increase your chances of being selected through the lottery.

Am I guaranteed a job placement once I apply?

  • No, job placement is not guaranteed. Unfortunately, due to funding limitations, there are not enough jobs for every young person that applies. Many who apply will not get a summer job. We use a lottery process to select applications.
